Why do we have to register? You don't have to register - you are quite welcome to view and use the site without registering. However, we'd really like you to for the following reasons: - You can then use the suggestion-box and the blog - which will be good for the site and the club, and give people a greater sense of involvement.
- If we can get most club members to register we can begin to use email more to communicate with members in the future.
Who can register? We'd welcome registrations from anyone with a legitimate interest in the club. Obviously this includes gymnasts, parents, coaches etc. - but anyone else with something useful to contribute is welcome. How do I register / what happens?Click the 'create an account' link on the front page. Enter your username, the password you want and your email address in the form that comes up. You'll then get sent an email automatically, which is needed to make sure you are real. That's it - then you are registered. The site administrator also gets a mail notification that you have registered. Why is it called an account - is money involved? It's just a traditional term for computer log-in details. There's no money involved. I don't want people to see my email address on the site
They wont. Only the site administrator can see these. How do I use my account? When you want to use the suggestion box or the blog - enter your user name and password on the front page. Real names please! Please use your real name to create your account. This is only fair when you are making comments about / around the club in public. We may end up with some mild controversy in the blog etc - this is ok - but it is only fair that people are accountable for what they say and the club has a right of reply. The Next StepIf you fancy contributing to the site by adding articles etc - we'd love to hear from you. See the 'contribute to this site' article for more info.
