A fantastic venue - The Sports Shed

In August 2009, after years of sweat, toil and considerable patience, the club, with the backing of local MP Steve Webb, was granted council permission to relocate to the Sports Shed at Armstrong Way in Yate.

While the building is fully kitted out with the sort of highly-specialist equipment you’d expect with one of Britain’s flagship gymnastics clubs, there is much more The Shed offers to benefit the community as a whole.

And if you’re looking for somewhere to host a birthday party or special occasion, the Sports Shed is only too happy to oblige (see Parties).

In the meantime Steve Webb has expressed his pleasure at seeing such a facility put to good use, insisting: “I am delighted that King Edmund Gym Club has found a new home that will enable them to go from strength to strength.

“I also welcome the fact that the club provides facilities for gymnasts of all ages and all abilities.â€

The Sports Shed is located on Armstrong Way, Yate, Bristol (BS37 5NG) next door to the Morrisons Distribution Centre and opposite Murray Hire.
