Great results from the Europeans 2007 - Kaman & Tash win silver
The club would like to say well done to all the gymnasts who achieved fantastic results in the recent European championships held in Holland.Maiken & Mollie went so close to a medal missing out by 0.050 to the German pair who they have had great competition with over the years they were however part of the Junior team that won the silver team medal well done girls. Well done to the mens four who gave two clean routines and finished 4th in qualifying.The biggest result was the silver medal won by Kaman & Tash in the 11-16 mixed pair. They gave three faultless routines that sent the crowd wild and just missed out on gold to the Russians. They now join the elite band of King Edmund gymnasts who have won a medal at a major event. King Edmund Acro gymnaststics win gold in the 1st English Championships
King Edmund gymnasts gave a good account of themselves at the 1st Acrobatic English Championships held on 6th October at Wiltshire School of Gymnastics. In the women’s pairs Georgia King and Tayler Porter came 3rd and Suzie Bryant and Emma Cornick finished 1st and were crowned English Champions.In the Men’s pairs Barnaby Llewellyn and danny Bates came a close 2nd with 2 good routines.Kaman Mitchell and Tasha Lawrence showed there real class with 2 routines that were executed to perfection and ran out comfortable winners of the Mixed Pairs.Oliver Wright, Chris Rogers, Chester Wilmott and Jack Pothecary went clean and claimed the men’s 4 titleWell done to all the gymnasts that competed and coaches it was a good day for the club and showed how strong the club is at this level.
Gymnasts selected to represent G.B at the Europeans Championships Holland
A massive well done to the gymnasts from King Edmund that have been selected for the Great Britain Squad to compete in the Europeans which will be held in Holland 24th – 27th October 2007.
We wish you well and hope you get the success your hard work deservers. Also well done to Nikki Thorne for being selected as a coach to go to this event.
